Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy
Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) facilitates emotional processing and the creation of secure relationships with ourself and with others. EFIT offers a structured and individualized approach to help people address challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship problems. EFIT provides a roadmap to transform restricted emotional patterns and rewrite narratives created during traumatic experiences.
EFT is our primary modality. While working with individuals we sometimes incorporate other modalities of therapy.
Dennis & Kim’s Story
20 years into our marriage, and 10 years into Dennis’ therapist career, the relationship band-aids we had used over the years stopped holding us together. That’s when Dennis asked Kim to move out. “It was the worst day of my life,” says Kim. That day was excruciating! It also marked the start of a positive transformation in our relationship. With the help of two EFT therapists, we grew a secure bond in our marriage. Before EFT, we had a pattern of enjoyable moments that turned sour in an instant. It would frequently take weeks to recover. Now, with EFT, we have a securely connected relationship with more stability, closeness, and passion than we ever imagined possible.
