Mongolia Mental Health Mission
Mental health support is largely unavailable in Mongolia, a country with high levels of substance abuse, teen suicide, depression, and anxiety. Dennis and Kim are serving with the Mongolian Assembly of God Bible Training College’s counselor training program and with the Mongolian Christian Counselor Association.
The Eames will teach:
- Introductory counseling training for counselors & students in couples therapy, attachment science, trauma, and other mental health topics.
- An experiential parent and teen workshop.
- Intensive couple or family therapy for one or two community or church leaders.
- Created 4 Connection marriage curriculum to professional and peer counselors for use individually and with groups of couples (based on the same material as their May 8-9 marriage workshop hosted by Grace Church in Federal Way WA.
Mongolia is a democracy sandwiched between Russia and China, and formerly part of the Soviet Union.
Dennis and Kim are both Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Certified Emotionally Focused Therapists. They have been leading and co-leading marriage groups and workshops for most of their married life. This is their second Mental Health Mission. In 2023 they were part of a team providing training and support in Uganda.
